The most popular activity here is definitely boating on the Kolpa River.Why? Simply because in good weather you can enjoy the Kolpa River all day long with good company. Boating is not time-limited and is suitable for all ages, as well as for your furry friends. You can choose between different lengths of descent. We provide you with all the necessary equipment (life jacket, helmet) and tips for a safe descent. You should bring your swimsuit, sun cream, a towel, water shoes (tevas, crocs, old trainers), plenty of liquids, a snack and lots of good humour – but leave the loudspeaker with loud music at home. And be sure to always take care of order and cleanliness – garbage does not belong in nature.
The Kolpa River is a calm river and can warm up to 25 degrees in the summer months.
How is boating here?
You come to our outdoor centre in Radenci ob Kolpi, leave your car and report to reception – there you complete the formal part. After that, we give you a watertight barrel in which to put the things you will take with you on the water. You will be provided with a life jacket and helmet, and neoprene boots if you do not have your own. In the case of bad weather, each participant also gets a neoprene suit and a windbreaker. We will take you to the start in our vans and ‘equip’’ you with information. From there on, you are on your own.
During your boating trip, you can stop, eat lunch, go for a swim and slowly descend towards the finish. When you arrive to the finish point, you return all your equipment to reception. Showers, toilets and changing rooms are available for you to clean up after the boating.A picnic area with all facilities (tables, benches, barbecues, fridges, summer kitchen), volleyball and football pitches, outdoor gym and playgrounds are available to all our guests free of charge.
